Heather brings a wealth of experience to Parente Randolph’s Healthcare Services group from both the public accounting perspective as well as the provider side of Healthcare. Prior to joining Parente Randolph, Heather held the position of audit senior manager for Ernst & Young, LLP in both New York and New Jersey and then worked as the director of finance for two years at a hospital in one of the largest systems in New Jersey. Her areas of expertise include the planning and supervision of full scope audits, which includes identifying and examining critical audit areas, analyzing client risk assessments, internal controls, performance of audit procedures and preparation of GAAP financial statements and footnote disclosures. She is also knowledgeable in every aspect of the internal control process – from testing and evaluating to formal reporting, filing and offering suggestions for improvement. Heather has been extensively involved in cost report certifications, OMB circular A-133 audits, tax exempt bond issuances, bad debt and charity care agreed upon procedures and pension plan audits She also has experience with operations within a hospital finance department which includes preparing and reviewing budgets, managing the revenue cycle, reorganizing accounting processes and creating department policies. The wide array of Healthcare client engagements on which Heather has worked includes hospitals, colleges, schools, start-up pharmaceuticals, nursing homes and more.

Heather is currently a participant in the firm's Leadership Development Program entitled LEAP (Leadership, Entrepreneurism and Achievement at Parente Randolph).
