Principal

Mark joined the Firm as part of our merger with Boyle, Brogan, Shusman & Nicastro. As a shareholder and officer of Boyle, Brogan, Shusman and Nicastro, Mark used his extensive background in tax to work with clients in a wide array of businesses, including law firms, health care professionals, insurance agencies, bar and restaurant establishments, the thoroughbred racing industry, liquor stores and other retail and wholesale organizations. He served as the firm’s assistant director of tax services which gave him responsibility for its tax review and quality control process. He has also lectured for outside accountants, firm clients and in-house continuing education seminars.

Mark had previously worked for the Internal Revenue Service as a field revenue agent, where he was responsible for in-depth examinations of small businesses, partnerships and closely-held companies. His stint with the IRS also included time spent at the Philadelphia Service Center where he worked on a national tax shelter project and classified income tax returns to determine examination potential. The expertise Mark has gained in taxation enables him to perform in-depth research with written tax memorandums for clients. His extensive knowledge in the field of taxation has also helped him minimize the tax burden for clients by solving tax-related issues through proper planning and communication.
