Principal
Steven, a Principal in our Healthcare Services Group, is responsible for auditing Parente Randolph healthcare clients.
Prior to joining Parente Randolph, Steve held the position of audit senior manager for Ernst & Young, LLP in both New York and New Jersey, where he planned and supervised full scope audits, including identifying and examining critical audit areas, analyzing client risk assessments, internal controls, performance of audit procedures and preparation of GAAP financial statements and footnote disclosures. Steve has been extensively involved in cost report certifications, OMB circular A-133 audits, tax exempt bond issuances, bad debt and charity care agreed upon procedures and pension plan audits. He also provided technical advice to both management and audit committee members on the implementation of new and existing audit and accounting standards, served as program leader for several educational and training sessions and was active in recruiting and mentoring new personnel.
His industry expertise includes multi-hospital systems, managed care organizations, and continuing care retirement communities among other entities.
