We don’t think it’s wise for new employees to have to re-invent the wheel. In fact, at Parente Randolph, each new staff member is assigned both a mentor and a “buddy.”
The mentor coaches and counsels the team member about career development. This is a formal relationship in which the mentor and team member develop measurable goals to create the skill set necessary for career advancement at Parente Randolph. At minimum, they meet on a quarterly basis to review progress, discuss performance and project new goals.
A Parente Randolph buddy assists new staff members with their transition into the firm. The buddy will provide guidance to the new staff member during his/her first few months. Buddies foster the development of new staff members throughout their employment by helping colleagues become acquainted with Parente Randolph’s culture and procedures.
