Parente Randolph begins the process by meeting with the buyer to gain an understanding of the target and any hot-button issues. From that meeting, we collectively decide on the scope of the project. We also provide insight based on a basic review of the target’s financial statements as to any foreseeable problems.
Once the scope has been determined, Parente Randolph provides the buyer with a letter of engagement that outlines the terms and expected deliverables, such as interim oral reporting or, in a few cases, a written report. We also make ourselves available to consult on business combination accounting issues that arise from a successful acquisition.
